Our vision is to motivate people to discover the future God has for them by encouraging growth, purpose, and hope. We believe everyone has unique gifts, and we are passionate about helping people recognize those gifts and step confidently into who God created them to be.
We exist to make a meaningful impact in our community by sharing the gospel, building authentic relationships, and serving others with love. Through everything we do, our desire is to inspire people to live full, meaningful lives for Christ both inside the church and beyond its walls.

Jay and Sharae LaPlanche
Together, Pastors Jay and Sharae LaPlanche lead Motivation Church in Massachusetts and have been married for 25 years. They are the proud parents of their seven children; Kyree, Jediah, Jaiden, Kyla, Jordyn, Jeremiah, and Kennedi.
Innovative, passionate, and deeply devoted to empowering people from all walks of life, Pastor Jay LaPlanche has emerged as a dynamic change agent in this generation. As the founder and lead pastor of Motivation Church, he has helped the ministry grow from a local church plant into a thriving, multi-generational community with expanding regional and digital influence. Known for being on the cutting edge of ministry, Pastor Jay impacts lives cross-denominationally through visionary leadership, practical teaching, and a forward-thinking approach to faith and culture.
A distinctive aspect of Pastor Jay’s calling is his use of basketball as a ministry tool for evangelism, mentorship, and discipleship. Through sports-based outreach, basketball leagues, and community engagement, he intentionally reaches people beyond the church walls, building trust, fostering discipline, and creating relational pathways to share the Gospel. By merging faith, leadership, and athletics, Pastor Jay leverages basketball as a bridge to develop character, inspire purpose, and cultivate the next generation of leaders.
Pastor Sharae LaPlanche, known as PRae, is the Executive Pastor at Motivation Church, providing strategic leadership and organizational oversight for the church’s culture, teams, and ministry execution. Visionary and purpose-driven, she brings both clarity and compassion to every environment she leads. She is the founder of Free & Fabulous, a beauty and confidence platform, and the founder of REVIVE Her, a women’s movement that has evolved into Decided Woman. Through Decided Woman, Sharae equips Christian women to follow Jesus wholeheartedly while becoming their full, authentic selves in Him. With over 15 years of experience empowering women, a background as a licensed cosmetologist, and a proven ability to help develop leaders, she champions transformation from the inside out, building confident, healthy, and purpose-aligned women in Christ. While faithfully serving as a mother, pastor, and executive leader, Sharae also functions as an itinerant worship leader and speaker, ministering across churches and gatherings with depth, authenticity, and spiritual authority.
Our Beliefs
God “The Father”
We believe in one God, maker of heaven and earth, and eternally existent as God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Equal in divine perfection, and executing distinct but harmonious offices in the great work of redemption. He is pure, holy, all-powerful, full of love and the source of truth.
God “The Son”
Jesus Christ is 100% human but at the same time, 100% God. Having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, he died on the cross as the complete and final sacrifice for our sins. He defeated death in His resurrection so that we could have eternal life.
God “The Holy Spirit”
His presence assures us of our relationship with Christ. We believe that His purpose in this age is to convict men of sin, indwell, guide, instruct, and empower the believer for Godly living and service. He comforts us, gives us spiritual gifts, and makes us more like Christ.
The Bible
The Bible is God’s Word, written by men under the influence of the Holy Spirit. Both the Old and New Testaments are the inspired Word of God without any error.
The Trinity “God 3 in 1”
God has always existed in relationship with Himself for all eternity. He exists as one substance in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Although each member of the Trinity serves different functions, they each possess equal power and authority.
Man(kind)
Man is made in the image of God and is the supreme object of His creation. Man was created in the image of God, but fell into sin and is therefore lost. As a result, man cannot attain a right relationship with God through his own effort. It is only through regeneration by the Holy Spirit that salvation and spiritual life can be obtained. Every human personality is uniquely created, possesses dignity, and is worthy of respect and Christian love.
Eternity
Man was created to live forever. He will exist either eternally separated from God by sin or in union with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is Hell. To be eternally in union with Him is Heaven. Heaven and Hell are places of eternal existence.
Salvation
The blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, provides the only way of salvation through the forgiveness of sin. Salvation occurs when people place their faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as sufficient payment for their sin. Salvation is a gift from God, and it cannot be earned through our own efforts.
The Church
The Church is a local community of “saved” believers unified through faith in Christ. It is committed to the teachings of Christ and obeying all of His commands and it seeks to bring the Gospel to the world. The Church works together in love and unity with the intent of glorifying Christ.
